I had waken up with happy cry and it was heartwarming moment.  Did you see a dream last night? The dream on the first day of new year becomes real, old people say.

Peaceful sunny day before Christmas

 It was the clear blue sky.

Christmas tree near Red brick warehouse Yokohama. It's not exciting looking. I want to say, it is Not shine. 

Annual festive event.

It is sunny blue sky but cold and cant keep to stay on the cold seat. Almost empty.

Red brick warehouse area was different. Many people were enjoying beer before noon.

It was unbelievably peaceful moment. Something is going to happen in 2 or 3 weeks really?

Think ing about Christmas gift for my friend

 Have you planned about Christmas gift yet?

This company sells mainly bath salts. But also, Japanese towel (日本てぬぐい）.

The towel's print seems like a Japanese town in Edo era. I wanna have it too.

Bamboo crafts shop, 竹虎 (Taketora) sells lots of attractive original works. It is absolutely Japanese bamboo and made in Shikoku 四国。Especially, I like this box. My friend will love this too.

I wanna have this だいこんおろし器 (Daikon radish grater) personally. 

I bought this bag for my friend yesterday. People who has disability work in a small shop near 商店街 and they were making many hand craft products。I found this lovely one in the shop. 

What else is Japanese genmai-cha and some snacks. 

What will you buy for your family as Christmas gift this year?

Forest Therapy

 Do you use essential oils at home? I used to do it in my 30s. I bought about 20 types or more of pure essential oils then. I have not purchased any now. This is what I have loved the most ever since.

These are Christmas gifts from my friend last year.

I especially recommend  'Forest Therapy' for sure! It is nicely sweet, but not bitter. You can spray the right one on the pillow, and drop the middle one into a diffuser, the left one for a body massage. Lovely aroma! I worry about running out. 😢 I am serious.

I bring 'Clear Mind' in my bag with me.  It is citrus-type. Love it too.

They will be very expensive, if buy them in Japan. 😭

My front teeth

On the 27th of December last month, I ate a chocolate bar at about noon. Suddenly, I felt something wrong, but nothing hurt. Immediately, I could imagine what had happened. OH, NOOOOOOO!!!

And the next, "Dental Clinic is opening today???" popped up in my mind😨 Because it was almost the end of the year on that day for hospitals nationally. Worse, it was Friday afternoon.

This depends on whether the clinic accepts me or not.

I called the clinic I used to right after the happening. (I did not want to keep losing one front tooth for another week through the NewYear😱)

"Can you come at 3:30pm today?" said the secretary. 

🥹 I am a lucky woman!! My tears dropped.

I brought the broken teeth to the Doctor.

The teeth were again instantly returned once to a certain position.  The doctor removed the psychological damage at least. I was so shocked by what happened that you could have or never had the experience in the life time. 

I spent the last 10 nights with broken teeth. Every day I said, "Thank you my teeth for years and years." 

A day before yesterday was the last visit to the dentist. The new one has been in the position. Looking good, I love it!

Sorry for a little while I have not updated this blog. I had a mysterious headache at the same time. I am totally OK now.  The stress was released by the headache, I guess.

First shrine visit of the new year 2025

New Year for the 3 days is a special at every shrine in Japan. They are beautifully lighten up during the night. I love visiting at night especially. 

You enter the shrine, reach the main house and see the donation box 

1. Donate some money (coin or paper money) 

2. Bow twice

3. Clap your hands twice

4. Say "Thank you"

5. Bow once in the last

I bought an amulet for this year and returned an old one to the shrine. 

It is going to be your fantastic New Year's beginning!

Christmas Gift from Scotland 2024

A couple days ago, my parcel arrived from Scotland. The Postman surely recognises where the parcel should be taken. My friend had forgotten the residential number again, but the item was certainly left at my room's door. Japan Post delivery is professional.   

So, this image is what I received from Scotland.

I gonna introduce some of my favourites.

These are Christmas ornaments. The creator used to be a student at GSA. They are made of special paper, not wood. But the material is hard enough to use.

This is the loveliest design. It is nostalgic, sweet and somewhat heartwarming.

My friend's choices are always fabulous. People compliment my outfits, which are made with fabrics she gave me. 

I have lots of time to make my clothes this month. It will heal me and release my fatigue. 

A Happy New Year 2025

The Japanese (Chinese) Zodiac of this year is Snake. It cast off the skin. You will grow or change. Snakes connect to money! (what Japanese people believe is)

I hope to have lunch with him this year, too.

The best Christmas Greeting 2024

Santa did not give me anything in my Christmas stocking. Instead, yesterday I found the loveliest message in my inbox- from HIM!!! 

That is because I had sent him a Christmas greeting with a tinny little expectation. Although the message from him is just a reply, I am so, so happy. It is a happy year ending!!

I found a sad reality in the last meal, but it was also good.

We had lunch together, which may be the last meal with him.

I could have touched a sensitive part of his life in the conversation.  

And I found a reality,

I can send him a message next year, but at least I know he will never do it to me. (he does not know any contact address about me.

Santa! I wish I could meet with him again in the next year 2025

If I hang a large stocking on the end of my bed on Christmas Eve, do I get him in it? (LOL)

Or Do I find him under the Christmas tree on the Christmas day in the morning?

He will go back home for his Christmas holidays in a few weeks.

I do not want to hear him say goodbye to me.

Went shopping for friend's Christmas gift 2024

I spent this weekend Christmas gift shopping. Got the stationary shop, Itoya, at Ishikawacho in Yokohama and KITTE at Tokyo station.

I love the building as an architecture. So beautiful looking!

The Christmas tree in KITTE. This is cool and looks smart, but I prefer colourful or more decorative. I really want to see the jumbo tree in N.Y. That would be much more magnificent.

Many little Santas enjoy winter holidays in Japanese hotels (Onsen Ryokan).

I gonna send these anyway once and, the later, Japanese snacks with Japanese teas on another day in December. 

I really love the end of the year, December.  My winter holiday is starting on Fri, 27th of next month. I wonder what I'm gonna do?? What is your plan for the holidays?

Yokohama Christmas Marcket

I do not know why I have not been to this event before. It would be so good. Yokohama City has a strong tie with  German (European) companies in Japan. Everything is German-style in this event. Especially foods! I must join it this year!!

  

By the way, I saw him in the Halloween costume, he was so cute. If it was not at the office, I would hug him tightly🧡

Christmas Tree

I love seeing a Christmas tree. Because it is lovely, maybe as a design. But it is not only that, I can feel something holly. 

I saw a Christmas tree for the first time at the kindergarten in my childhood. A catholic church organised the kindergarten, which was in my home area and I went to. My parents and grandparents are not Christian, though. The reason I went to the catholic kindergarten was that my family forgot to apply for me to enter a general regular one. I had no choice more than that in those days. 

So, I had never seen a decollated tree before when I was at age 5. Christmas can be one of the most special events for Christians. The mood was shockingly magnificent to age 5, tiny Masako. It is an unforgettable experience. 

However, my back home is an authentic traditional Japanese house. As the design, it is unlikely to accept the Westernised decollation. I never have the beautiful decollated tree in the back home. Even if forced to place it, which is like a hamburger in the Japanese Soba restaurant. 

I had a dream to live in Scotland once. If I could do that now, I would go to buy a beautiful tree and accessories. I love the atmosphere of Christmas shopping, especially during the season in the UK.

Now I have a new dream. 

Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree

I have never been to  New York. I will go see that giant Christmas tree someday! (I have no real plan yet)

A parcel brought me a joy of late Christmas

My beautiful Christmas gifts arrived a week ago. It brings me huge joy and warms my heart. The parcel once arrived on a Japanese island but was returned to Scotland. The reason was the written address needed to be more sufficient. The residential number specifies my place, and that needed to be included.  The package came to Japan again. My friend generously went again to the Post office. Finally, I received it. I will fill 2 boxes and bring them to the Japan Post office, I promise. 

Her choices are brilliant and exceptionally lovely.  I am going to show you some of the above.

This is what I wanted! I was searching for a tiny mirror that belonged in my bag. Probably It's LIBERTY print on the back. Lovely!

What a beautiful ornament! I want to view it all the time. I can feel the time especially. I love such a gorgeous sensitive artwork. Hung it on the wall before my desk here.

These 2 boxes are already gone. I ate all of them. Both were imaginable taste and excellent. 

But I prefer...

True honey bar. Does it prevent pins from rusting? 

Included all other wonderful things, I recognised that I am so privileged. The late Christmas gifts brought me a joyful Christmas moment again.
