Can you get used to the station name, street name, food's name as the noun easily? Quick skimming the words was stressful in a foreign language. Using ATM to withdraw money was high pressure. There were so many kinds of washing liquids, softer, includes shampoos and conditioners. The storm of alphabet letters in a supermarket.
In the 2nd year, the stress decreased. I got much smoother than the 1st year. During my struggle, my class mate who is from Canada often helped me a lot. She catches information super fast because her 1st language is English. She suddenly said, "Let's join the hike." when we walking together on a corridor in the campus. She quickly reads a small note on the board. I could not...That was one shocking moment. I recognised my ability to read English words.😒
And I got the same shock again last year where I worked in.
There were hundreds of mailing case for the employees and each case had the employees' name plate with alphabet letters.
One day, 'HE' came and suddenly found the letter 'HANEDA'. Can you find those letters from about 600 name plates quickly??? Although his 1st language is English, I wondered, is that an average skill? Or because 'HE' is smart? Maybe, my eyes need more training. I miss now English letters's environment.
Thank you for coming tonight too. Good night, x
