I live near a small mountain like a hill and there are green spots everywhere. I have seen wild animals in my neighbourhood. Palm civet's family, racoon dog's family, Japanese grass lizard, and insects that you can imagine are living in the natural area.
Some kinds of large spiders usually have their nest in a mountain. I personally call them Mt. spiders. I had not seen them when I lived in Tokyo. Because there is no mountain. So, It means, I currently live near Mt. spiders' nests.
The Mt. spiders sleep from dawn to dusk. They won't attack humans, seem shy species and hunting during night except winter season. Their legs are very long. An adult Mt. spider's average leg's length looks like 5- 7 cm. They walk faster than you imagine.
Finding a Mt. spider in your house is so scary you will terrify. But do not too worry! They never get closer to you. Their purpose is hunting insects to eat. They eat cockroaches too! Mt. spiders are not our enemy!
So, I discovered one of their ability. It looks a toddler Mt. spider (a leg length 2-3cm about) that sneaks into my room I witness it but cannot block it and disappears behind a shelf or boxes so fast. And a couple months later, suddenly emerges before me. The size becomes larger than when I saw it at first time. (but it is still not so large) It happens every times near the door, which connects to outside. I open the door at the same time the spider goes out. The spider knew when I open the door. The timing is always me back from work and go to work. I experienced three times. The spider needs more larger prey to grow, I guess.
Open the door for Mt. spiders they will delightedly move out to somewhere else. They lean when you open the door because they watch your daily routine.
Thank you for coming. Good night, x
