I bought a branch of a pine tree

 I bought a branch of a pine tree this afternoon. What for? Ties it with my home's gate. It's a Japanese new year's tradition. 

 

As my home has no gate I bought just one nice branch for the right side of the door.

I thought you want to see other Japanese houses how they are decorated. I took photos of just some of my neighbours' gates.

These pine branches were the most beautiful in my research.

About 30 or 40% of the population decorate like this above.
