Making Tube Top Outfits 1/2

Don't you have any T-shirts or thin jumpers (sweaters) which you won't wear again? And don't you want to wear it again in a different way? I do recommend making a tube top. If you have it, let's makeover!! It will nicely fit because you make it in your size. I can teach how.

Today I have my brown colour thin sweater here likely goes to a bin. I used to wear it for maybe many years,  it could have some moth-eaten. It could have happened on your sweater too. Check yours too. It is easy to repair yourself. See below. Turn on the hole vertically then, stitch 3mm inside from the hole. Before we start making the tube top's paper pattern, we fix the holes.

Fixed yours? Now let's make paper patterns.

An example completed image is below.

Have a bust point measurement of yours.  At the moment here, for example, if it were 96cm, follow the images below. There would be several ways to make the shape of a tube top. I have just thought this could be the easiest one for everybody.

That 21.6-1cm = 20.6cm. But when your belly size looked clearly wide like pregnancy, take 1.5~2cm plus to the 21.6cm.

Take a copy of the curvy line above to the pattern below.

From that copy, make the same length also, almost the same curve line.

The rubber band I would recommend is width 10mm. So that, 2cm seam is going to be right width. Now, making paper patterns has been done its all.  And we are going to cut each part out on the fabric in the coming blog. Later!
