Unforgettable lunch at a Sushi restaurant in 2023

Do you go lunchtime to outside restaurants or cafes during working hours? Big companies may have one as the facility. But usually, you have to go out for lunch unless you have a lunch bag/ box or sandwiches from home.

2 years ago, I worked near Akasaka station in Tokyo. The job was just temporally and it was only a month period.  There have been uncountable attractive popular restaurants, dinners and pubs in that area. The price range is various, it is cheap to luxurious. Finding good affordable food spots was only the Oasis during the stressful hours. Adventurously tried a new restaurant every day.

On my second day there, I did not even know anyone and had no lunch friends yet. I went out alone to have lunch outside. I avoided to get in a long line for a one-hour lunch. Suddenly, I found a menu paper at the door front of a Sushi restaurant, which showed 'A lunch course 1,200 yen'. Wow, that is good, I thought. The budget I set was 1,000 to 1,500 yen. That is the average and reasonable price on my setting.

I opened the door and walked in. 

Then, I immediately found that this was wrong for ME at the time. 

Oh, No! 😱

The atmosphere was so luxurious. (I wondered that Is it possible to finish in an hour or minutes?)

But I suddenly switched my inner voice over to YES!

Recognised quickly what was WRONG , however.

1,200 yen 

It was actually 12,000 yen 

My eyes did misread. None of the shop staff's mistakes.

 I can explain to you why I did not step back from the situation. 

1. I would not enter the door, if I knew the correct price. Because the class might be different. But I hoped to have an experience. I had never before.
2. Lunch is usually the lowest price even if at an expensive restaurant.
3. The all-staff smiley engaged me like a home. (They are a real family.)
4. It was just me as the customer at the time. I did not need to care for others' eyes. And It could be finished in one hour because just me in the space.

"Do you accept a credit card?"I said. And asked finishing in 50 minutes.

The experience was amazing.  Everything was excellent. I hope to visit once again.

The shop won't complain about the dress cord, but the shirt which has a collar would be great, hopefully.

Meet with lovely staff! I definitely recommend this restaurant. And to have plenty of time like one and a half to 2 hours.
